In the Beginning

Jumbo Jack's Cookbooks printed its first cookbook in 1980. The owners of the local newspaper were approached by a nearby community to produce a centennial cookbook for their upcoming celebration. The project was primarily done in the evening. The owner printed the book on his one and only press. The employees walked around the table and collated the book and then it was bound and delivered to the customer.

A Turning Point

At that point, the initial decision was that they would never try to do that again. A month or so passed and the owners were contacted by an organization in California about doing a cookbook for them. The decision was made that with proper staffing they could do one book a month. The owners decided that if they were to get into the business, they should do it RIGHT! After much investigating, a fundraising program was developed that had the customers' best interests in mind. Some of the things that the customers most wanted were implemented: no money down, flexible terms, the ability to make the book their own and friendly customer service.

Jumbo Jack's was born and has grown into a national cookbook printing company. Jumbo Jack's presently has approximately 80 employees. We have printed thousands of titles for about every type organization, as well as books for individuals and other printers. We have printed books for organizations in all 50 of the United States, as well as in Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, Germany, Italy and Japan.
